Initiative/Referendum Advisory Vote:
Sammamish citizens will see an advisory (non-binding) vote on their April 28th special election ballots. The city council, last night, voted 5-1 (Council member O’Dell dissented, Council member Whitten was absent), to put the vote on the ballot.
CFS anticipates a “yes” vote will mean the voter would like to have the rights. This has not yet been confirmed. The council will be seeking committees for pro & cons for the voter pamphlet. It’s suffice it to say CFS member Harry Shedd has got the “pro” section covered.
Klahanie PAA Vote:
April 28th’s special election will also bring the Klahanie PAA vote to those residents (Sammamish residents do not get to vote on this). It is nearly a foregone conclusion that the PAA will annex into Sammamish, but April 28th will be the date that is formally decided.
